Magic Island is a picturesque park in the middle of Honolulu. Plenty of parking, and just a mile from Waikiki. Across the street from Ala Moana Shopping Center too!

It's not quite sunset time, but if you turn your camera down, it looks like sunset. Close enough for me!

Diamond Head Beach Family Sunset

 

Beautiful ocean view from the top of the hill at Diamond Head Beach.

This is our meeting spot. Nice view of Diamond Head Lighthouse in the background.

Family stroll at Diamond Head Beach. This spot is popular with Surfers. More secluded than Waikiki Beach. (And nice waves.)

It's a little bit of a hike down to the beach if that's okay with you.

Diamond Head Beach is good for sunsets. Not quite as scenic as some other Honolulu beaches (like nearby Kahala), but each location has its strong points. This one being not too crowded, no buildings, and good for sunsets.
